Well, this year will soon come to an end and so will your time at Lövgärdesskolan. Many of you have been wondering about your English grades. Although it's been a tough year where you've missed a lot of English lessons due to Krokholmen, work practice, sport days and many more activities, the results overall on the national tests show that you've learned some English after all. Well done!
I'm happy to say that your results on the listening and reading comprehension have improved quite a lot since last autumn.
Johny and I will give you the remaining results on the national tests as soon as we've finished the discussion part with all the students.
I wish you all good luck in the future,
your English teacher in 9:th grade - Åsa Erichsen

Very good results on the national tests 2011!
I'm very pleased with the results of the listening and reading comprehension parts of the national tests.
Between 40 - 50% reached VG or MVG which is a lot better than the tests you did last autumn. Well done!
By the way, if you weren't able to do the test - there will be another chance on Friday the 15:th of April at 13.00pm.

I just want to wish you all good luck on the National Tests on Friday and next Wednesday.
Don't worry too much about your results. I will try and organise other ways of assessing your English skills if you happen to fail on one of the tests.
Make sure that you prepare yourselves by going to bed in time, eating a good breakfast and telling yourselves that you can do this!
It's also a good idea to look at your old essays (and blogs) and the feedback I've written to you, before you write your essay next Wednesday.
Love Åsa

Welcome back to your last semester here at Lövgärdesskolan
I hope that the vacation has been good for you and that you have a lot of new energy after the break.
I have done a plan for this semester, that I will present to you during the lesson in week 3.
I have also provided the English website with a lot of new material. Go and have a look at the useful links to different sites where you can practice your English. You'll also find the lessons that we have carried out this semester, in case you've been absent for some reason.
This is the semester when you are going to receive the grades that really counts. You are also going to do four different national tests.
I wish you all good luck and I hope that you'll keep on blogging if you want feedback on your written English or if you have questions about the English subject.
